The Mother Lode Arabian Horse Association (MLAHA) is an equestrian club in Northern California’s Mother Lode area. Rae Rankin is the club’s secretary, Tailings newsletter editor, and webmaster. She is also an award-winning author and independent marketing and graphic design consultant. Rae contacted me in late 2022, asking if I would write an article for Tailings. Flattered, and after some thought, I suggested “We Speak Horse.”
I delivered the copy and photos by the deadline, which was published in the newsletter’s March 2023 issue.
