B.R.A.T.S. history
Andrew Nelson and Poe Dismuke co-founded the Bisbee Rolling Arts Transport Society in 2009 with just five “bratsters.” The idea was to create an artists’ soap box derby through the steep streets of Bisbee. Now, there are dozens of carts, countless paradegoers, and more fun than ever! Every year, this gang of imaginative souls who dream, forage, collaborate, and construct art for art’s sake grows bigger.
I worked with the publicity event rep to research this article. I gathered photos, used some provided, found a short B.R.A.T.S. history video, wrote the article, fact-checked it, and published it on my NewsBreak page.
